Titan men's tennis team dominates in Mississippi
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team picked up wins against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Hinds Community College Saturday
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team wrapped up a weekend in Mississippi with 9-0 wins against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Hinds Community College Saturday.
The Titans opened the day against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in dominating fashion, winning all six singles matches in straight sets.
Jesus Amezcua, Danrich Kruger, Alwyn Mushonga, Pablo Munoz, Andreas Wejs and Maximiliano Faundez all won singles matches.
Amezcua teamed with Eduardo Garcia to win at No. 1 doubles, while Kruger and Mushonga won at No. 2 doubles and Munoz and Faundez captured the third doubles match.
The team shuffled things a bit for the second match against Hinds Community College and the results were the same.
Kruger and Garcia teamed up to win No. 1 doubles while Amezcua and Wejs captured the No. 2 doubles and Mushonga and Munoz won the third doubles match.
Samir Chikhaoui won the No. 1 singles match with Amezcua taking No. 2 and Mushonga won at third singles. Wejs won at No. 4 and Munoz took the No. 5 singles win.
The Titans are now 7-3 on the season and will play Florida Tech's JV team at Florida Tech on Tuesday.
