Titan men's tennis solid in ITA Southeast Regional Championships
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team competed in the ITA Southeast Regional Championship over the weekend. Andreas Wejs came home with the singles consolation title.
The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team fared well in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships last weekend in Georgia.
The Titans went 11-7 in the singles and 3-3 in doubles and Andreas Wejs won the men's singles consolation title.
After falling in his first match of the tournament to the No. 6 seed, he defeated three players to advance to the final where he faced teammate Maximiliano Faundez in the final. Wejs won the match 8-5 to claim the title.
The men's team will continue its first Fall season with a match at Keiser University Friday at 3 p.m. After that match, the team will head back north to compete in the Grizzly Open hosted by NAIA national champions Georgia Gwinnett College.
