"We were fortunate to bring in such a talented class of players, so I'm excited to see this group take the court and represent EFSC this weekend," Eastern Florida State College tennis coach Jerry Thor said. "I think opposing coaches are really going to notice the jump in level that's happened here."

"It's early in the year so we are just getting started in terms of helping our players develop their games and compete at the highest level. The women have been training hard for six weeks and we're looking forward to an early test against several strong D2 programs," Thor said. "I expect them to compete to the best of their ability, come away with some hard-earned wins, and bring enthusiasm to practice on Monday morning when we get back to work."
Saturday and Sunday will feature singles matches with the finals slated for Sunday afternoon.
