Men's soccer team falls in overtime at national tournament

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team's season ended Tuesday afternoon in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
The Titans lost to Cowley County Community College 2-1 in overtime and finished 1-1 in pool play in the tournament.
Eastern Florida State College, the No. 6 seed in the tournament, scored with 19 minutes and seven seconds remaining in the first half. Stephen Gilbert received the ball in the box and found teammate Liam Kuemmritz who buried it to give the Titans a 1-0 lead.
They would hold the lead until 10:06 remaining in the contest.
A foul was called in the box giving Cowley a penalty kick. Renan Syrio took the kick and scored to tie the game.
From there it went to overtime and a minute and 18 seconds into overtime, Cowley got the winner Alberto de Miguel scored sending Cowley back to the semifinals.
It is the second straight season that the Tigers have ended the Titans season.
Eastern Florida State College finishes the season 12-4-1 and has reached the national tournament in each of the past three seasons.
