The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team is back in the Region 8 Tournament Championship, playing for the title Saturday night at Daytona State College.
The Titans, who are the defending Region 8 Tournament champions, will face Daytona State College for the third time this season. The teams have split the first two meetings, both teams winning at home.
Eastern Florida State College defeated Miami Dade College in double overtime to advance to the final as Jacopo Caprile and Tarik Ferraz Freire both scored for the Titans.
Last week the Titans defeated Daytona State College 1-0 as Alvin Ssekamate scored late in the second half to give the Titans a 1-0 victory. Daytona State College won the first meeting 3-2.
Sophomore Stephen Gilbert has scored 10 goals this season for the Titans while teammate Joao Victor Loureiro has scored six times. Henry Crosthwaite has scored four goals but has 10 assists.
Daytona State College's Josue Youta has scored 11 times this season while teammate Carlos Rojas has scored 10 goals.
Saturday night's game will be at Daytona State College at 7 p.m. and admission is $6 and fans can also watch the game live online at the FCSAA Website, https://team1sports.com/fcsaa/
