The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team shut out Illinois Central in a battle of top 10 teams Saturday at Daytona State College.
The No. 3 ranked Titans picked up the 6-0 win to improve to 6-0 on the season.
It was the second straight shutout as five different players scored in the win on Saturday afternoon.
Ryoyo Shibata got the Titans on the board first on a nice cross. Liam Kuemmritz made it 2-0.
In the second half, Yorik Cho, Joao Victor Loureiro, Shibata and Mateo Acuna all scored for the Titans.
It was the first multi-goal game for Shibata who now has four goals this season. Kuemmritz and Loureiro also have four goals now while it was Acuna's second of the year. It was the first goal of the season for Cho.
Illinois Central came in 4-0-1 and the No. 8 ranked team in the latest NJCAA Division I National Poll. They will play Daytona State College Sunday at 11 a.m.
Eastern Florida State College will take a break as they prepare for the Region 8 season. The Titans will travel to Miami Dade for a 7 p.m. game on Sept. 24.
