Men's soccer team tops Dallas College Richland in battle of top teams

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team edged Dallas College Richland in a battle of top-ranked teams Sunday in Texas.

The No. 1 ranked Titans picked up the win 3-2 behind Marcellus McCoy's big afternoon.

McCoy and Louis Munn each scored in the first half to give the Titans a 2-0 lead at halftime but Dallas College Richland had a strong second half to make things close. McCoy's second goal of the game was the game winner for Eastern Florida State College.

Dallas College Richland, who is No. 1 in the NJCAA Division III national poll, has won the past six NJCAA Division III national titles and is now 4-1 on the season.

Eastern Florida State College (7-0-2, 0-0-1) will travel to Miami Dade College Friday for a conference game.
