Men's soccer team plays for spot in national tournament semifinals

The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team will play for a spot in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament semifinals today.

The Titans face Essex County at 4 p.m. in the final Pool D game in Tyler, Texas. If the Titans win, they advance to the semifinals for the second straight season. A loss would send the pool into a tiebreaker and it will depend on the final score to see who advances. 

Eastern Florida State College defeated Pima Community College 1-0 in double overtime on opening day and then Pima defeated Essex County 4-2 on Tuesday.

Luca Libro scored both goals for Essex County in the loss to Pima while Levonte Johnson scored the lone goal in Eastern Florida State College's opener.

The winner of each pool will advance to the national semifinals on Friday evening in Tyler, Texas.
