The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team knew this would be a make-or-break week as far as the postseason was concerned.
And that was before Monday night's 4-1 loss to Daytona State College at Titan Soccer Complex. The Titans now must defeat ASA Miami Wednesday night as well as Broward College over the weekend in order to punch their ticket to the postseason.
After giving up a goal early on Monday night, the Titans responded as J.J. Donnelly scored off a free kick by Craig McCall to tie things up.
But Daytona State would score right before the half to take the lead and kept it the rest of the way.
The Titans are now 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the Region 8 Conference. They will face ASA Miami in a conference game Wednesday night at Titan Soccer Complex. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. and the match can be seen live on WEFS-TV or online at efsctitans.com/webcast
