EFSC men's golf team places 10th in national tournament

The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team finished 10th overall at the NJCAA Division I National Championship in Newton, Kansas.
The Titans shot a 303 for the second straight round and finished the tournament in the top 10 for the second time in five seasons.
Sean Jacoby shot his best round of the tournament on Friday, posting a 1-over 73 to finish tied for 18th. The United Kingdom native made a birdie on No. 3 and made the turn at 1-under. He would birdie 13 but finished 3-over on the final five holes to finish 1-over.
Jacoby was named a third team All-American after the tournament.
Jamie Smith shot a 4-over with an eagle on the 601-yard par 5 fourth hole. Smith finished the tournament tied for 36th place.
Horace Pennix and Daniel Byers each shot 5-over 77 while Nolan Hyatt had an 81.
McLennan Community College won the title, shooting a 286 in the final round. Indian Hills Community College was second with Odessa College third.
