The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team moved up into the top 10 after three rounds at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament on Thursday in Newton, Kansas.
The Titans shot a 303 and is in eighth place heading into the final round on Friday.
Nolan Hyatt had a good round, shooting 1-over 73 in the third round and is 23-over for the tournament. Hyatt hit a birdie on the ninth hole to make the turn at 2-over and then shot 1-under on the back nine with birdies on No. 10, 15 and 16.
Sean Jacoby shot a 2-over 74, rebounding from a couple of double bogeys in the first six holes. After that Jacoby had birdies on No. 7 and 8 to make the turn at 2-over. He would par all nine holes on the back nine and is tied for 27th overall at 11-over.
Teammate Jamie Smith shot 4-over 76 and is tied for 31st overall while Horace Pennix shot an 81 and is tied for 41st while Daniel Byers also had an 81.
The Titans will tee off in the final round beginning at noon with Iowa Western and Midland College.
