The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team will compete in the Shark Invitational beginning Monday at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Fort Lauderdale.
The Titans have finished in the top two in each of the last two tournaments and are ranked No. 8 in the NJCAA Division I national poll heading into the two final tournaments of the regular season.
Florida Southern comes into the tournament ranked fourth in the NCAA Division II national poll and have two golfers ranked in the top three in the nation in Division II. Max Barile and Donte Groppuso are second and third in the rankings.
The No. 1 player in NCAA Division II golf Reggie Fear and Eckerd College are also in the field this week. Nova Southeastern, Barry University and Saint Leo are all in the field and ranked in the top 20 in the NCAA Division II poll.
Eastern Florida State College's Jamie Smith is ranked fourth in the latest NJCAA Division I national rankings while teammate Sean Jacoby is coming off a historic round at the Glenlakes Invitational, setting the course record with a 64.
The first two rounds of the tournament will be held on Monday with the final round scheduled for Tuesday morning.
