The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team shot a 595 in the first two rounds of the Dan York Memorial Invite in Cullman, Alabama.
The Titans shot a 299 in the first round and then a 296 in the second round and are in second place heading into the final round on Tuesday morning.
Sean Jacoby is tied for fourth overall after rounds of 73 and 74 . Jacoby had three birdies and two bogies to shoot 1-under on the back nine in the first round. He shot 1-under on the front nine but a double bogey on No. 16 put him two-over in the second round.
Teammate Blake Hodges shot 2-over 74 in each round and is tied for ninth overall. Jamie Smith shot 3-over 75 in each round and is tied for 16th. Josh Bibby came back with a 1-over 73 in the afternoon round and is in 19th place. Daniel Byers shot a 167.
"It was a cold day to start, temperatures in the 30s when we started," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "The guys hung in there all day, we just did not string together some lower scores. Looking to put a good round together in the morning."
Central Alabama Community College leads the tournament after shooting 4-over and then 4-under and is even par after two rounds.
