The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is tied for first place after two rounds of the Seahawk Shootout at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens.
The Titans and host Keiser University are tied at 1-under after two rounds.
After shooting a 4-over in the first round the Titans fired a 5-under in the second round to pull into a tie for first place heading into Tuesday's final round.
Freshman Jamie Smith is in second place overall after shooting even par in the first round and then came back with a 66 in the second round. He had five birdies on the front nine, shooting a 31 and then had an eagle on No. 12 before a couple of bogeys and a birdie on No. 18 had him finish 1-under on the back nine.
Blake Hodges and Horace Pennix are among those tied for 11th place overall.
Pennix shot a 2-over 74 in the first round and then shot 3-under 33 on the back nine to shoot 1-under 71 in the second round. Teammate Hodges had a 1-over 73 and then shot even par 72 in the second round.
Trey Farnsworth is tied for 19th place at 3-over par for the tournament, shooting a 73 and a 74 in the first two rounds.
Daniel Byers is tied for 27th overall at 5-over as the sophomore shot 3-over in the first round and 2-over in the second round.
The 5-under was tied for the best round of the day as Palm Beach State shot 5-under in the first round but struggled in the second round, shooting 13-over and is in fifth place. Ave Maria is in third place at 4-over for the tournament.
The Titans will tee off Tuesday morning in the final round of the tournament.
