Titan men's golf seventh after two rounds at McDonough Cup
The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team had a solid first day in the McDonough Cup and are in seventh place heading into Tuesday's final round
The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team sits in seventh place after the first day of the McDonough Cup held at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando.
The Titans, who are the lone JUCO team in the event, had a solid first day with Kyle Decenzo sitting in 20th place overall at 147 and Ryan Rozic is tied for 23rd with a 149. Brad Bawden is tied for 28th at 150, Fraser Davren shot a 152 and is in a tie for 43rd and Greg Darnell is tied for 53rd (153).
"Rio Pinar is a very good course and it played good today, tough but fair," Eastern Florida State College men's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "The team hung in there and made a good comeback in the afternoon."
Host Rollins College is in first place, shooting a 576 and is nine strokes ahead of Flagler College and Georgia College. The Titans sit at 596 after the first two rounds.
The teams will play 18 holes Tuesday in the final round.
