Men's basketball team is No. 6 seed at FCSAA tournament

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is the No. 6 seed at the FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship in Niceville.
The Titans will face No. 3 seed Daytona State College in the first round of the tournament Wednesday at 3 p.m.
The two teams split the series during the regular season with each team winning at home. Daytona State College comes into the tournament 24-6 and finished the season 8-2 in the last 10.
It will be a matchup of two of the top scoring teams in the FCSAA as both average 91 points per game and the Falcons are second in defensive scoring, allowing 69.3 points per game. Noah Mendy leads the Falcons attack, averaging 17.7 points per game while Tyrese Lacey is averaging 12.9 this season.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the tournament 23-7 and finished third in the Citrus Conference. The Titans are led by freshman Sean Register Jr. who finished the regular season leading the conference in scoring, averaging 24.8 points per game.
"We are really excited to be a part of this tournament, it is probably considered to be one of the best in the country with six teams being in the top 30 in the country, we are really excited to be a part of it," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Zach Ferrell said. "We ended the season well at Polk State College, it really sent us into this week excited about what is in front of us. Right now it is about continuing to keep the competitive fire as well as keeping everyone healthy. Our guys are definitely excited, definitely ready to compete and believe they can do it."
The FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship is held in Niceville, Florida. Tickets are $15 per person and tournament passes are $40 and can be purchased at the Raider Arena Box Office. Fans can also watch the games live online at the https://team1sports.com/fcsaa/ website.
