Men's basketball team hosts FSW for key conference game Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will host No. 21 Florida Southwestern State College in a battle of two of the hottest teams in the state on Saturday afternoon.
The Titans are on a seven-game winning streak and are in third place in the Citrus Conference standings at 8-3. The Bucs have won eight in a row and are currently in first place in the conference at 10-1.
Florida Southwestern won the first game of the series 97-82 in Fort Myers and now come to Titan Field House where the Titans are 10-1 this season.
Mason Blazer leads the Bucs offensively, averaging 15.4 points per game this season and is shooting 44.9 percent from 3-point range. Teammates Kenyon Giles and Tyler Bey are each averaging 13 points per game as the Bucs come into the contest averaging 84.7 points per game.
Eastern Florida State College's Sean Register Jr. is leading the FCSAA in scoring this season, averaging 25 points per game and has scored at least 27 points in each of the past six games. Register Jr. was named the FCSAA and national player of the week last week and then came out Wednesday and scored 30 points against Santa Fe College. Teammates Misael Cruz Rodriguez and Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo are averaging 12 points per game for the Titans.
The game will tip off around 4 p.m. after the women's game and Saturday's game will also be an Alumni, Friends and Fans Day with contests and giveaways.
