Sean Register Jr. named FCSAA Division I Player of the Week
Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball player Sean Register Jr. was named the FCSAA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday
Eastern Florida State College men's basketball player Sean Register Jr. was named the FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
It is the fourth time this season that Register Jr. has been named player of the week in the state.
The forward from Cleveland, Ohio had another big week for the Titans, scoring 30 points in a win over 15th-ranked Daytona State College and then had 27 points including the eventual game winner against Miami Dade College on Saturday.
The freshman averaged 28.5 points and 11 rebounds last week and has now scored at least 21 points in eight straight games. For the season Register Jr. is averaging 24.8 points which leads the state and is third in the nation in scoring. He is also averaging 8.8 rebounds per game this season.
Eastern Florida State College will be home for a couple of games this week, beginning Wednesday against Santa Fe College for a 7:30 p.m. game. Then on Saturday the Titans will face No. 21 Florida Southwestern State College for a conference game at 4 p.m.
