Men's basketball team faces FSW in road conference game Wednesday
The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference game against Florida Southwestern on Wednesday night
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference game in Fort Myers.
The Titans, who are 12-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference, will take on Florida Southwestern State College Wednesday. Tip-off will be around 7 p.m. after the women's game at 5 p.m.
Eastern Florida State College is coming off a road victory against Santa Fe College, scoring 58 points in the second half to post the win. Freshman Sean Register Jr. scored 30 points in the win and is now second in the FCSAA in scoring, averaging 23.9 points per game. Register is also fifth in the state in rebounding, averaging 8.6 rebounds per game.
The 23.9 points per game is fifth in the nation. The Titans continue to lead the FCSAA in scoring, averaging 93 points per game as Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo and Misael Cruz Rodriguez are both averaging 12 points per game.
Florida Southwestern is coming off their first loss in conference, falling to Hillsborough Community College 73-69 on Saturday. The Bucs are led by Tyler Bey who is averaging 16 points per game and Mason Blazer who is scoring 15.6 points. Three other players are averaging 12 points a game.
Lamont Hartfield has been playing well for the Bucs, averaging 19 points per game in his last three games and is one of the three averaging 12 points per game.
The Bucs come into the contest holding opponents to 68.5 points per game which is among the top five in the state.
