Register Jr. named NJCAA Division I Player of Week

Eastern Florida State College men's basketball player Sean Register Jr. was named the NJCAA Division I Player of the Week on Wednesday.

The freshman forward averaged 26.3 points and 10.3 rebounds over the Christmas break and has now scored at least 23 points in 12 of the 15 games and recorded six double-doubles this season.

Register is leading the FCSAA in scoring, averaging 24 points per game which is also fourth in the nation. He is also averaging 8.7 rebounds per game which is also among the top 10 in the state.

Register becomes the first Titans men's basketball player to be named national player of the week this season and first since Fredy-Salam Sylla last season.

Eastern Florida State College will host Miami Dade College tonight at Titan Field House. The men's game will tip off around 7:30 p.m. after the women's game. It will also be the first Alumni Friends and Fans night sponsored by Community Credit Union and there will be contests and giveaways during halftime.
