The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will play St. Petersburg College Saturday on WEFS-TV at Titan Field House
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will play St. Petersburg College Saturday at Titan Field House in a televised game.
The No. 14th ranked Titans are 8-1 in the Citrus Conference and have won eight games in a row. Saturday's game will tip off at 4 p.m. and will be shown live locally on WEFS-TV, which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. Eastern Florida State College is led by a trio of sophomores averaging double digits. Owen Aquino is averaging 15 points and 8.3 rebounds per game while Luca Colceag is averaging 12.1 points and Matija Zuzic is averaging 11.6 points.
Aquino is fourth in Region 8 in rebounding and is shooting 62.7 percent from the floor which is fifth in the state. Teammate Andrija Bukumirovic is fourth in field goal percentage, shooting 64.2 percent.
St. Petersburg has a trio of players averaging double figures this season led by Akiem Nickerson at 16.5 points per game. Teammate Brenden Williams is averaging 15.8 points and Isaac Edwards is averaging 11.3 points per game this season.
Saturday's game will tip off at 4 p.m. and admission to Titan Field House is free.
