Men's basketball team picks up win at Monroe College Invitational
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team defeated Brunswick Community College Thursday evening at the Monroe College Invitational
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team picked up a victory Thursday evening in the first day of the Monroe College Invitational in New Rochelle, New York.
The Titans improved to 6-0 on the season with the 75-65 victory.
Eastern Florida State College's Caleb Byrd led the attack with 30 points while teammates Eric Parnell and Andres Burney each had double-doubles in the win. Parnell finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Burney had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Titans led for most of the game and held a 28-point lead midway through the second half.
The 13th-ranked Eastern Florida State College TItans will play host Monroe College Friday at 3 p.m. Monroe College is 4-0 on the season and are led by Melvin Council Jr. who is averaging 27.3 points per game.
