Men's basketball team hosts Miami Dade Monday in home opener

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will make their 2017 debut at Titan Field House on Monday night.

The Titans come into the home opener 6-1 on the season and the No. 5 team in the preseason NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball rankings.

Miami Dade comes into Titan Field House 6-2 but are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak against the Titans.

Eastern Florida State College is averaging almost 87 points per game and are led by sophomore Ahmed Ali, who is averaging 16 points per game.

Monday's game will tip off at 6 p.m. at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College. Due to construction of a new Student Union building, the entrance to Titan Field House is on the far end of the gymnasium. Admission is free.
