Bio
Jeff Tam took over the baseball program in 2012 and has led them to five-plus successful seasons, accumulating 159 wins.
The Titans have had a winning record in each year he has been at the helm and have won 30 games each of the past three seasons, recording at least a .500 record in the FCSAA Southern Conference.
Last season the Titans were 31-19 and finished third in the Southern Conference, advancing to the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Tournament for the second straight season.
Tam came to Eastern Florida State College after pitching six seasons in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, Oakland Athletics and Toronto Blue Jays from 1998 through 2003.
He was the EFSC pitching coach under long-time head coach Ernie Rousseau and served as the interim coach after Rosseau's departure before become the new Head Coach in June 2012.
A graduate of Eau Gallie High in Brevard County, Tam went on to have a stellar career at Florida State before signing with the New York Mets as an undrafted free agent in 1993.
He holds a career 3.91 earned run average in the big leagues including stellar seasons for the Athletics in 2000 and 2001 when he had earned run averages of 2.63 and 3.01 as the A’s set-up man. He helped lead the A’s into the American League Divisional Series against the Yankees both years.
