Three baseball players honored by FCSAA
Eastern Florida State College's Andrew Prieto and Parker Trowbridge were named to all-conference teams while Bryce Jackson was named to the conference all-defensive team
A trio of Eastern Florida State College baseball players were honored on Friday by the FCSAA.
Andrew Prieto was named to the first team all-Citrus Conference after the catcher had a big freshman season with the Titans. Prieto played in 43 games this season and hit .373 with 10 doubles and three home runs. The Miami native drove in a team-high 41 runs and did not commit an error this season.
Starting pitcher Parker Trowbridge was named to the second team after making 13 starts this season with a 4.33 ERA. Trowbridge was 6-4 with one complete game, striking out 54 batters in 60 1/3 innings. The Clermont native was named the FCSAA Division I Pitcher of the Week on April 27.
Third baseman Bryce Jackson was named to the Citrus Conference All-Defensive Team after having a .966 fielding average in 40 games in the infield. Jackson made just four errors on 73 chances this season.
Eastern Florida State College finished the season on a six-game win streak and went 21-28.
