Baseball team loses pair of conference games Saturday
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a couple of Citrus Conference games to the College of Central Florida on the road Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a couple of Citrus Conference games on the road Saturday.
The Titans lost the first game 5-0 and then lost a heartbreaker in the bottom of the ninth 15-14 in the second game against the College of Central Florida in Ocala.
After being shut out in the first game, the Titans got the bats going late in Game 2, scoring 12 times in the final three innings.
Down 7-2 after six innings, Eastern Florida State College scored three times in the top of the seventh inning as Sage Adams drove in two runs with a single to cut the lead to 7-5.
The College of Central Florida would score twice in the bottom of the seventh to lead 9-5.
But the Titans would take the lead in the top of the eighth inning as Andrew Prieto had an RBI double, then Omir Santos ripped a triple that would score Prieto and Bryce Jackson and the Titans trailed 9-8.
Santos and Sage Adams would score on Ethan Askin's single and the Titans took a 10-9 lead. They would add another run on a Jake Richardson single. The College of Central Florida scored once but Jacob Goldman got out of a bases loaded jam to keep the lead.
Prieto hit an RBI single and scored on a Santos single to make it 13-10. Askin would drive in the 14th run on a single.
But the Titans could not keep the College of Central Florida in check in the bottom of the ninth inning and Balint Piros would hit a walk-off home run to win the game.
Chris Carroll, Prieto, Santos, Askin and Richardson each had three hits in the game. Santos and Askin each drove in four runs in the game as the Titans had 19 hits.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Lake Sumter State College on Tuesday for a non-conference game at 2 p.m.
