The Eastern Florida State College will begin a Citrus Conference series with Hillsborough Community College on Thursday afternoon.
The first game of the series will be at Hillsborough Community College beginning at 1 p.m. with the series heading to Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
The series is an important one for both teams as they are both 4-5 in conference play after the first three series of the season.
Eastern Florida State College lost to Lake Sumter State College on Tuesday but gets back to conference play where they have won four of the past six games. Hutson Guinn leads the Titans offense, hitting .370 with two home runs and 15 RBI this season. Teammate Andrew Prieto is hitting .353.
Parker Trowbridge has started six games and is 2-1 with a 2.59 ERA heading into the series. The 2.59 ERA is second in the FCSAA.
Hillsborough has lost four of the past five games and looks to get on track as the team is hitting .310 this season. Nick Palmi leads the attack, hitting .439 with five home runs and 32 RBI.
Thursday's game is at the N.Y. Yankees Himes Complex at 1 p.m. The doubleheader at Bruce Bochy Field will begin at 1 p.m. and admission is free.
