Baseball team falls in series opener at Miami Dade

The Titans, who are now 3-4 in the Citrus Conference, fell 7-1 to the Sharks who are now 5-2 in the conference.
Miami Dade College got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the first inning and added another one in the second inning.
Down 3-0, Hutson Guinn hit a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to cut the lead to 3-1. But Miami Dade College would add runs in the fifth and sixth inning and then two in the eighth to pick up the win.
The Titans have loaded the bases three times but could not get the clutch hit. Eastern Florida State College finished with six hits.
Joey Duprey gave up one unearned run in three innings of relief.
The series will come to Bruce Bochy Field for a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The first game will begin at 1 p.m. and admission is free. Fans can also watch the games at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
