The Eastern Florida State College baseball team split a doubleheader at home against TNXL Academy on Saturday afternoon

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team split a doubleheader at home on Saturday afternoon.
The Titans hosted TNXL Academy at Bruce Bochy Field and TNXL Academy rallied to win the first game 6-5 but the Titans cruised to a win in the second game, 13-0 in seven innings.
Parker Trowbridge got the start in Game 1 and got out of a bases loaded jam in the first inning, allowing just one run and the Titans responded in the bottom of the first inning as Richie Collazo hit a two-run single to give the Titans a 2-1 lead.
The Titans would add a run in the fourth inning as Jacob Miller hit an RBI single.
Trowbridge finished with four strong innings, striking out six in the no decision.
Up 3-1 after five innings, TNXL Academy would score four times in the sixth inning and added one in the seventh inning to take a 6-3 lead.
Eastern Florida State College would score twice to cut the lead to 6-5 on as Omir Santos had an RBI double and then Chris Carroll scored on a groundout. But the Titans could not tie the game.
Collazo finished with two hits in the first game.
In Game 2, Kyle Hirsch got the start and with some help from his defense, spun 4 2/3 of shutout baseball to pick up the win.
Bradley Link would come into the game in the fifth inning with runners on first and second and got the final out of the inning.
Up 1-0, the Titans would send 13 hitters to the plate in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring seven times to open the game up.
Collazo hit a home run in the sixth inning to start another Titans rally as they would score five more times highlighted by a two-run single by Carroll.
Link would get the final three outs to end the game.
Carroll walked three times while Jackson Wargo had three hits and scored three times while Ethan Askin and Jacob Miller each had two hits.
Eastern Florida State College will open the Citrus Conference season on Thursday against Polk State College. The conference opener will begin at 5 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field and admission is free. Fans can watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
