Baseball team hosts Miami Dade in key doubleheader Sunday

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will be home for the final regular-season games of the season on Sunday afternoon.
The Titans will host Miami Dade College in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field. Both teams are in the hunt for a spot in the postseason in the final weekend of the regular season.
Miami Dade picked up a win in the first game of the series on Thursday, winning 5-3.
Eastern Florida State College comes into the doubleheader 17-14 in the conference and have won five of the last six games and are hitting .324 this season.
Sophomore Nathan Hook will get the ball in the first game of the doubleheader. Hook comes into Sunday 3-2 with a 5.90 ERA. He has struck out 37 hitters in 39 2/3 innings of work.
Offensively, Jason Mack is on a five-game hit streak and was the FCSAA Player of the Week last week. The third baseman is hitting .368 with five doubles this season.
Kevin Smith heads into the final weekend of the regular season with an FCSAA-leading 40 stolen bases and is hitting .316 with four home runs.
The Sharks are led by Michael Petite who is hitting .383 this season with 11 home runs while teammate Cian Copeland has hit 14 home runs with a .369 average.
