Baseball team hosts Lake Sumter Tuesday afternoon

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will be back at Bruce Bochy Field Tuesday afternoon for an afternoon game.

The Titans, who are 7-7-1 on the season, will play Lake Sumter State College at 2 p.m. in a non-conference game. Lake Sumter comes into the contest 4-9-1.

Eastern Florida State College is coming off a tough weekend series against Hillsborough Community College and looks to get back on track Tuesday.  Lake Sumter comes into the contest hitting .275 with 21 stolen bases after 14 games this season. Eli Thurmond has five stolen bases and Matthew Dumas has four.

The Titans are hitting .300 this season led by third baseman Brady Strelitz who is hitting .366 through 14 games. Teammate Carlos Cordero is tied for fifth in Region 8 in stolen bases with eight.
