Baseball team hosts Indian River State College Friday

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team is home for a non-conference game against Indian River State College Friday afternoon.

The Titans will host the Pioneers at 1 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field. Eastern Florida State College comes into the game 3-1-1 on the season while Indian River State College is 2-3.

Eastern Florida State College is hitting .327 as a team which is third in Region VIII and has an ERA of 5.27 after four games. Kevin Smith is hitting .389 with a double and a triple with a team-high three stolen bases. The team's 11 stolen bases is second in the state.

Indian River is led by Brett Patten, who was the Region VIII Baseball Player of the Week last week and is hitting .474 with 10 RBI already this season which leads Region VIII. As a team the Pioneers are hitting .310 and have a 5.59 ERA.
