The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost its Southern Conference opener Wednesday against Indian River State College at Lawnwood Athletic Complex in Fort Pierce.
The Titans fell to 12-14-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference with the 10-1 loss.
Drew Cavanaugh hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. It was the catcher's third home run of the season.
Starting pitcher Nick Feretic took the loss.
The Titans will host Indian River State College in Game 2 of the series Friday at 5 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field.
