The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a close game with the State College of Florida-Manatee on Tuesday evening at Bruce Bochy Field.
The Titans fell to 7-10-1 on the season with the 4-2 loss.
Down 3-0 in the third inning, Gabriel Cruz hit a two-out, two-run double to cut the lead to 3-2.
From there starter Nick Feretic retired seven straight before giving way to Ridge Skarbek to start the fifth inning.
Eastern Florida State College will hit the road this weekend for a three-game series at South Georgia State. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. with the third game scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. The Titans will return to Bruce Bochy Field on March 10 for a doubleheader with Webber University JV beginning at 3 p.m.
