Six baseball players named to all-Southern Conference teams

Six members of the Eastern Florida State College baseball team were named to the all-Southern Conference teams.

Sophomore shortstop Kaeber Rog and freshman first baseman Lake Fisher were both named to the first team while second baseman Garrett Evans, catcher Kyle Dentmon and pitchers KC Swords and Darien Smith were named to the second team.

Rog hit .354 with two home runs and 18 RBI, scoring 22 runs in 32 games this season. The infielder from Willemstad, Curacao started all 32 games he played in and his .354 average was tops among the starters.

Fisher finishes his freshman season with 12 home runs which is the most by a Titan in a single season in the past decade and hit .298 with 34 RBI. The freshman from Dunedin led the team in both home runs and RBI while also hitting nine doubles and two triples.

Evans hit .311 with seven home runs and 25 RBI this season in 42 games, starting in 41 of them. The redshirt freshman led the team in at bats with 148 this season.

Dentmon started 33 games and played in 37 this season, hitting four home runs and driving in 22 runs.

Swords finished his first season with the Titans as a key pitcher out of the bullpen with a 3.69 ERA and a 10.80 strikeout per nine average in 31 2/3 innings.

Smith finishes the season with a nation-leading 103 strikeouts with a 13.24 k/9 rate in 15 appearances and 14 starts this season.
