Baseball team falls to Indian River, hosts Pioneers on Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a Southern Conference game to Indian River State College on the road Friday afternoon.
The Titans fell 7-3 as the Pioneers take a 2-1 series lead heading into Saturday afternoon's series finale at Bruce Bochy Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. and sophomore Darien Smith is on the mound.
On Friday, the Titans were down 3-0 after the first inning but batted back in the second inning as R.J. Diaz and Chet Moore hit RBI doubles and then Tyler Isenberg tied the game with an RBI single.
But the Pioneers tacked on a run in the bottom of the second inning and then two more in the fourth and one last run in the sixth to pick up the win.
The Titans were led by Nathan Housen who had two hits.
