Baseball team loses to Miami Dade
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost to Miami Dade again on Saturday afternoon in Miami
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost its third straight Southern Conference game on Saturday as Miami Dade defeated the Titans 10-6.
Miami Dade took an early 5-0 lead, but Tyler Isenberg drove in two runs with a single in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 5-3.
Miami Dade would have another big inning in the fifth, scoring four times to take a 9-3 lead. The Titans would strike in the top of the seventh inning for three runs as Lake Fisher hit a two-run triple and scored on an RJ Diaz single.
The Sharks would add one in the bottom of the eighth.
Fisher and Nathan Housen each finished with three hits as the Titans had 13 hits in the game.
Eastern Florida State College is now 12-16 overall and 0-3 in the conference and will open a three-game series with Indian River State College Wednesday at Indian River beginning at 2 p.m. The Titans will be back at Bruce Bochy Field Friday for Game 2 against Indian River State College set to begin at 6 p.m.
