For the second straight outing, Tommy Romero struck out a career-high 11 hitters. Unfortunately, it did not lead to an Eastern Florida State College win on Friday night.
Santa Fe scored six runs in the final three innings to defeat the Titans 10-8 at Bruce Bochy Field.
Romero allowed three runs in six innings of work, striking out 11 and walking one. Romero left the game with an 8-4 lead but the bullpen could not hold it on Friday.
Norberto Navarro had a big night with two hits, a stolen base and scored three times in the game, Elian Merejo also had two hits in the game.
The Titans (7-4) will hit the road Saturday, traveling to Lake Sumter State College for a 1 p.m. game.
