Men's soccer team falls in matchup of top teams in country

A late goal broke a scoreless tie and the Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team could not respond, falling 1-0 to No. 2 Monroe College in New Rochelle, N.Y. on Thursday afternoon.

Monroe College scored the only goal of the game in the 76th minute. The Titans had a couple of good opportunities but were shut out for the first time this season.

The No. 4 Titans are 3-1 on the season and will travel to Florida National University on Wednesday for a non-conference game. They will return to Titan Soccer Complex Sept. 20 in the Region 8 Conference opener against Daytona State College. Game time is 6 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on WEFS-TV live on WEFS-TV and streamed live at www.efsctitans.com/webcast
