For the fourth straight season the Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will be heading to Hutchinson, Kansas to play in the national tournament.
The Titans are the No. 8 seed, receiving one of the at-large bids for the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. The Titans will open on Tuesday, March 20 against the winner of No. 9 Trinity Valley and No. 24 Baltimore City. Baltimore City played in the Josh Artis Classic at Titan Field House Dec. 29-30 and the Titans beat them 96-81.
"Just so incredibly ecstatic for the guys to get a chance to go back to Hutch for the fourth straight year. This year was about as tough as any year we have had to make the run to get to Hutch with the unbelievable non-conference schedule and then playing in one of the toughest conferences in the country and then have to wait and sweat it out for an at-large bid," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "We are very blessed, very thankful and ready to get back to work and get ready for the tournament."
The team is 27-4 this season and ranked No. 6 in the final NJCAA Division I poll heading into the tournament.
The semifinals will be on Friday, March 23 with the championship game slated for Saturday, March 24 at 8 p.m.
